Discover the Wholesome Heart

Brittney has spent years working in local nursing homes as a Personal Support Worker, where she developed a deep understanding of the needs of seniors and their families. She later completed her Activity Director’s course, driven by a desire to bring more joy, purpose, and meaningful daily activities into the lives of older adults. Her passion for enhancing quality of life led her to the Veteran Wellness Center, where she proudly supported local Veterans with dignity and compassion.

As a mother of two and a Veteran’s spouse, Brittney understands firsthand the importance of trust, reliability, and heartfelt care. After witnessing friends and family struggle to find consistent, dependable support for their loved ones, she recognized a gap, not only in quality care for seniors, but also in support for the caregivers who give so much of themselves.

Her vision goes beyond care alone. She is deeply committed to creating opportunities for seniors to stay active, engaged, and connected by expanding access to enriching programs, social experiences, and purposeful activities that support overall well-being.

Her mission is simple:

  • Provide seniors with compassionate, dependable, and enriching care.
  • Create more opportunities for seniors to participate in meaningful activities that promote joy, connection, and quality of life.
  • Build a positive work environment where staff feel valued, respected, and supported.

Wholesome Day Center was built from the heart, with a strong commitment to strengthening the community and improving the lives of both seniors and those who care for them.

I’m a proud mom of two, and my kids are truly my greatest joy. You’ll often find our family spending time outdoors, making memories and enjoying everything nature has to offer. My passion also lives in my work as the owner of Wholesome Day Center and Wholesome Home Care, where I’m dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others. I strive to build strong connections within my community and create a supportive, caring environment for the families we serve.

Head Volunteer

I’m a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces who values family, community, and making the most out of life. I enjoy golfing, listening to country music, spending time in the woods, and being around animals. Most of all, I love spending time with our kids and creating meaningful memories together. I have a fun, lighthearted personality and enjoy being a little goofy, making people laugh and bringing smiles to those around me. These qualities carry into my passion for volunteering, where I focus on creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for seniors. Giving back and making a positive difference in people’s lives is something I truly take pride in.
